How to clean Coldstream filters?

Regular maintenance helps maintain good filtration performance and an optimal flow rate for your Pure Filter system.

Over time, certain mineral deposits, sediments or particles naturally present in water can accumulate on the surface of the filter.

When to clean a Coldstream filter?

If you notice a drop in flow or a slowdown in filtration, a light cleaning of the filter may be necessary.

In areas where the water is particularly high in limescale, more frequent maintenance may be useful.

How to clean a Coldstream filter?

  1. Gently remove the filter(s) from the system
  2. Lightly clean the outer surface of the filter with cold water
  3. Use a clean sponge or a soft brush
  4. Never use soap or chemical products
  5. Then reinstall the filter normally

Important: avoid letting water enter the filter's outlet hole during cleaning.

How often should the filter be cleaned?

The frequency depends mainly on the quality of your water and your usage.

Water that is very high in limescale or particles may require more regular cleaning.

The flow remains low after cleaning?

If the flow remains abnormally low despite cleaning, the filter may have reached the end of its life and need to be replaced.
